The Midwifery Department is dedicated to preparing compassionate, competent, and skilled midwives who can provide comprehensive maternal and newborn care. The program covers a wide range of subjects including anatomy and physiology, prenatal care, labor and delivery, newborn care, family planning, reproductive health, and emergency obstetrics.
Students receive both classroom instruction and hands-on clinical training in hospitals and community settings. The goal is to develop confident midwives capable of managing normal deliveries, identifying complications early, and offering emotional support to mothers and families.
Graduates of the midwifery program play a critical role in reducing maternal and infant mortality and improving reproductive health, especially in underserved and rural communities. They are eligible to work in hospitals, clinics, maternity centers, and as independent practitioners.
